After 17 years and soon to be 20 successful SENZ Expos, Donald and Fiona have decided it’s time to hand the reins over to a new team. Thank you for your support over the years.
On Saturday 28th December we signed a sales agreement with three very excited ladies from Hawke’s Bay, Sonya, Desley and Janette, who will take over SENZ Limited fully on the 22nd of April.
They will be responsible for the management of SENZ from now on, with assistance from us to guide them through the process as required.

You will have met Sonya already as she has worked at several SENZ events as both Floor Manager and as Cashier. Sonya has worked with Donald for many years in the Operatic Society, as well as being a Deputy Principal at a primary school in Napier. Sonya has been production manager for many major musical productions such as Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera and others. In this role Sonya managed large budgets, designed and managed publicity profiles, and coordinated teams of up to 200 people. She has worked at a national level organizing theatre and professional educational conferences, streamlining programmes, presenters, accommodation and registrations. In her role as a Deputy Principal Sonya is a key team player and organizer, and enjoys working with a wide variety of people. Sonya has 2 children, 4 grandchildren and is supported by husband Patteson. Sonya is excited about this new venture and looks forward to meeting you all in Christchurch at SENZSouth, as well as in Auckland at SENZ2020.
Janette is a trained Primary School teacher and taught for nearly 30 years before moving into an IT services role with a national technology retailer 5 years ago. While her sons were young she worked in schools providing IT support as well as running her own business creating and selling IT-related educational resources. Janette has been Scrapbooking for over 20 years. She started with Creative Memories, then became a consultant with Kiwiscraps and ran monthly workshops at the EIT. She has been a regular at Waipukurau scrapcamps, and now with her two sons grown her main focus is a scrapbook for her first grandchilds 1st Birthday. Janette is excited about the opportunity to continue the SENZ experience of bringing suppliers tutors and crafters together for a weekend of inspiration and creativity.
Desley comes from an early childhood background as a kindergarten teacher, and owned a preschool centre for 25 years, until she sold that a few years ago. She now works part-time at a Montessori preschool and also as a boarding supervisor at a girl’s boarding school in Havelock North. Desley is the mother of four adult children and two wonderful grandchildren, and has been scrapbooking their experiences and memories for many years. She enjoys the creativity that scrapbooking brings plus social side of crop nights and scrapbook camps mixing with like-minded people that inspire you. She is looking forward to being part of the SENZ team.
