Jenny Heaslip (Queensland)
‘Hi there I’m Jenny, let me tell you a little about myself.
I have always loved to be doing or making something and have had stints in lots of different crafts. I started scrapbooking about 12 years ago and it just felt right and it has been part of my life since then. Photography is another big love of mine so being able to showcase photos on the pages I create is a bonus. So being a photographer means I have a lot of photos so I needed a way to get as many photos on pages as I could but without sacrificing a well composed clean page. Also, scrapbook paper is double sided and sometimes I can’t choose which side to use. So, I started to create my interactive layouts which allowed me to not only scrap 20 to 30 photos at a time but I also got to see both sides of the paper. I love when people “explore” my pages and discover all the hidden “openable” or “liftable” components.

Yolande Fenneman (Tauranga)
I started scrapbooking 20 years ago (which makes me sound very old but it’s only 2/5 of my lifetime!). Can you tell I am also a secondary mathematics teacher?
I would describe my style as ever-changing but there is always a focus on telling the stories. I have combined my love of photography from my Poppa and my love of story telling from my Nana into my pages. Having both a daughter and a son allows me to play with both feminine/masculine styles but I do love colour (except as many know I am not that crazy about purple!) I have a love of learning and continue to try new products and techniques.
I’ve taught at SENZ back in 2005-2007, I was part of many design teams – SBO , No 8 Wired team and I had several work published in Up2Scrap (NZ magazine). I’ve taught locally in Tauranga for Bookem and now Craftables. I recently taught at CAD in 2020.
I’m excited to be delivering some epic classes to show you how to use laser-cut products on your pages. See you there!

Madelaine Du Toit (Wellington)
Hi I’m Madelaine also known as the “Madscrapper” and I love to be creative. The scrapbooking bug caught me in 2008 and is my personal escape from the hustle and bustle of life where I can relive and preserve my memories as often as I wish using my favourite photos. I also love to educate and inspire others to find their own creativity and am grateful for all the people I have met on my paper craft journey. I am originally from South Africa and have been in beautiful New Zealand 18 months now. I have been a guest designer on the Celebr8 South Africa Design Team previously and since moving to NZ am a full time design team member for Celebr8 Australia. I have taught classes at retreats and other stores before I came here and am extremely blessed to design kits and teach classes with Philippa at my favourite Wellington shop, Scrapbook Central.
Chick Mitchell (Wellington)
I’m Chick also known as InkyandStampy and I’m so glad to have this opportunity to teach at SENZ this year for Scrapbook Central.
I accidentally got in to card making a number of years ago through a magazine purchase that happened to come with a free stamp. The rest you could say is history! I am now a card making addict and I love to create cards with lots of fun dimension, rich colour and eye catching interest. I also like to use techniques that extend my stamp and die stash further and I can’t help myself when it comes to shimmer and sparkle! I am on a number of design teams and have been teaching card technique classes at Scrapbook Central in Wellington for a few years now. I look forward to meeting you at my class where you will learn some new techniques, try out some new products and have a few hours of fun and creativity.
Philippa Beveridge (Wellington)
My papercraft adventure began 19 years ago when a friend introduced me to scrapbooking. There wasn’t a lot of choice for getting supplies back then which ultimately led to my husband Jonathan and myself opening Scrapbook Central in 2003, in Petone, Wellington. When asked if I still have Scrapbook Central my answer is Scrapbook Central well and truly has me! I love the people interaction, teaching and sharing with people what I have learnt over the years. I have taught classes at SENZ previously, have been published, run many events and retreats, plus have designed and taught kits for Scrapbook Central for 18 years. I love to share in people’s lives through the projects they create and see first hand that paper crafting is well and truly alive in New Zealand.
I am so taken with the Graphic 45 brand and my SENZ class this year features one of their recent releases. Scrapbook Central has the largest range of Graphic 45 products in the country and I look forward to sharing my passion for all things G45 in my class and on our stand at SENZ 2021.

Sharon Newport (Gore)
Sharon will be doing 4 classes at Senz this year. 3 layout classes and one mixed media technique class. She has been teaching for Create since the days of the shop in Flagstaff Hamilton in 2004, and has taught at many Senz shows and Create events.
She is on the design team for 3Quarter Designs and will be teaching layout with one of their recent release packs this year. Sharon is also a fine artist so her classes are full of art techniques that will stretch your imagination and introduce you to new products.

Jeanine du Plessis (Auckland)
My name is Jeanine du Plessis, a stay at home mum to one. My days consist of making lots of sacks, painting, more painting, attending art school, and more painting.
I wouldn’t say that I am a professional or even an artist, I am just someone who finds the time each day to create art, try out new techniques, something I have seen on youtube or journal my thoughts. My art style is messy, fun, raw and unapologetic. I like to sometimes just sit in front of a blank page without the faintest idea of what it will become, and just get some paint down. I don’t believe there are any mistakes in art, only lessons to be learned. Inspiring people to create is my passion! I believe art is for everyone, to participate in and to view, not just those with a degree. I also believe in art therapy, since experiencing its magic first-hand. I just want to create beautiful art and share it with whoever wants to look and come along on my journey.
I started my Youtube channel called “My Arty Heart” about 6 years ago - just for fun. I have written articles for an online magazine before (Mixed up Mag), and have also been featured twice in other printed versions, which was a great accomplishment for me. I was then a design team member for The Crafters workshop for 2 years, where I learned a lot about myself and my style. Currently I am attending art school at Browne School of art, and really enjoying being around other like minded creatives.
I draw inspiration from all around me; it could even be from my daughter's dress, a recurring dream or something as simple as the night sky. I will be teaching 3 classes this year, 2 Art Journalling classes and a Gelli Plate class.
Angie Bruining (Auckland)
Hi, my name is Angie and I am teaching for the first time at SENZ this year. I'm looking forward to a new teaching experience with adults- very different from my day job of teaching 10-11 year olds.
I love mixed media and creating off the page projects. I've tried just about everything and am always looking for new techniques to use in a range of ways.
I love using new products, especially anything from Tim Holtz, Darkroom Door, Lavinia and Carabelle Studios and will be using products from these brands amongst others in my classes. This year I will be teaching a card class and a NZ travel themed layout. I'm looking forward to meeting you all either in one of my classes or at the Create stand. See you at SENZ!
I will be teaching a card class and a NZ themed travel layout using stamps from my 2 favourite brands: Darkroom Door and Lavinia.
Classes out soon!
