My name is Jodi Tomlin, I am the owner of Scrapaholics in Howick, Auckland.

I’ve always loved craft! I can vividly remember sitting with my Nana learning to embroider a “tablecloth” (the size of a handkerchief) for my Mum for Mother’s Day when I was 7 years old. My Mum still has that little cloth! From there I had to try every craft that was on offer, I’ve knitted, even had a wool shop for 5 years, I’ve crocheted, tatted, quilted, embroidered more, paper toled, made porcelain dolls, done ceramic work and in the last 10 years I’ve SCRAPPED!!! Oh yes, I’ve scrapped lots… my house is now overrun with scrapbooking products! Wanting a change in career about 2-3 years ago sent me down the path of turning my hobby into a business. I am so enjoying having my own business, being able to provide what I think are the best products around for my customers. I don’t know that I have a specific style of scrapbooking (I probably do and just don’t know it!) but I love embellishments and dimension in my work but I also love clear white space – just depends on my mood.

My name is Maggie Armstrong

I live in Auckland with my husband and 2 children (and 1 cat!). I was introduced to scrapbooking and cardmaking by a close friend in 2004, and quickly fell in love with it! I had always thought that I didn't have an artistic bone in my body, but scrapbooking and it's complimentary crafts (e.g. altered art, OTP, cardmaking and mixed media) opened up a whole new world and definition of art to me. I grabbed this 'world' with both hands and it's been such an amazing journey over the last 7 years that I really feel I have found my passion. I am currently on the Elite Team for New Zealand Paperchase Magazine and love having the opportunity to share my techniques and style.

I find it difficult to pigeon-hole my style as I like to experiment with most techniques, but if I had to narrow it down I would have to describe it as Shabby Chic meets Mixed Media Grunge! You'll see that I like to use lots of different mediums in my work, and chipboard is one of those products that I’m featuring in a couple of my SENZ classes this year!

Hello, I am Sarah. From a very early age I discovered I had an interest and talent for Arts and Crafts. After getting an 'O' and 'A' level at school (UK) in Art I moved into a variety of jobs in my young adult life, but never forgot my passion for crafts. By the time I met my (now ex) Kiwi husband, I was working three part time jobs to put myself through an Art Foundation course. I had just been accepted onto a Ceramics course when I found out I was pregnant with our first child. We moved to NZ and had three more children. I became involved with Playcentre, which is very creatively focussed. My introduction to Scrapbooking came when my oldest child became interested in Origami and the only square paper I could find was Scrapbooking paper. She asked me what Scrapbooking was and I didn't know the answer until I watched an infommercial late at night and became instantly hooked. I went hunting Scrapbooking shops and very soon became employed part time at my local one. My hours and responsibilities increased over the years until I have now become the full-time manager at Scrapaholics. My new partner is discovering the joys, obsession (and neglect!) of this wonderful art form that can be enjoyed by all.

Hi, I am Hebie Capill and I am a mum to three teenage boys, as well as a part time teacher aide and a tutor and sales assistant at Scrapaholics.

I have been scrapbooking for just over 10 years and have found my family to be my constant source of inspiration.

I love clean lines and white space, but also love patterned paper and am regularly mixing all of these to create my layouts.

October Afternoon is one of my all-time favourite brands and I am so excited to be hosting a class at SENZ where I will share three ranges from October Afternoon.

Hi, I am Michelle, I am currently on the tutor team for Scrapaholics.

My Nana introduced me to all things arty and crafty from an early age and I have never looked back.  Scrapbooking became my outlet 10 years ago when we had our first baby who was premature.  Advised to stay at home with him…what was I to do? Scrapbooking enabled me to feel like I was achieving something and creating a precious heirloom for our family at the same time.

Our three boys continue to provide an endless supply of interesting material for me to scrap!  More recently I have enjoyed creating more feminine layouts inspired by my grandparents and the stories they left behind.  I find inspiration all around…children's books, magazines, from the beautiful papers produced and products which are fun to experiment with.

I enjoy teaching as it encourages me to implement new techniques and I love looking at everyone’s photos, learning more about them and their families.
